Lucknow: CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized the significance of addressing ‘love jihad’ as an undisclosed agenda of terrorism against humanity during a special screening of the film ‘The Kerala Story.’ The event was attended by the Chief Minister, his ministerial colleagues, BJP leaders, affiliated organizations, and students from various educational institutions in Lucknow.
Regarding the issue raised by filmmaker Sudipto Sen in ‘The Kerala Story,’ Chief Minister Yogi expressed that the film effectively draws attention to the problem of ‘love jihad’ and stressed the importance of raising awareness among citizens and society. He commended the producer, director, and the entire team for their commendable and courageous efforts.

Chief Minister Yogi reiterated the state government’s policy of zero tolerance towards any factors that impede social unity, challenge national unity, or pose a threat to humanity. He highlighted the implementation of the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, which was enacted as a law on November 27, 2020, following an initial ordinance, to address issues like love jihad.
